Dr. John Scarbrough has been a probation officer, an associate dean, and is currently a faculty member at Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, Illinois. He has held various social work positions and has a B.S. in psychology and sociology, an M.A. in sociology and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana. He has done research in the Caribbean and various parts of America. Dr. Scarbrough has traveled in Mexico, Canada, Ireland, Austria, and Tibet. He has done work in China, Turkey, the Caribbean and Ireland.
Lisa K. Winkler is the author of A Black Cowboy’s Ride Across America. She is also a journalist and an educator, and has written numerous essays for book anthologies and magazine articles. She taught middle school Language Arts for 15 years and has several teaching guides published in professional journals and the trade press.
John Paul Jaramillo grew up in Southern Colorado but now lives, writes and teaches in Springfield, Illinois. He earned his MFA in creative writing (fiction) from Oregon State University and, currently, holds the position of Associate Professor of English in the Arts and Humanities Department of Lincoln Land Community College.
His stories have been featured online in the Acentos Review as well as in the Antique Children Arts Journal; in the Copper Nickel Review, Fogged Clarity Arts Journal, and Verdad Magazine; also in Polyphony Online, Paraphilia Magazine and forthcoming in Sleet Magazine and Palabra Magazine.
His first collection of composite stories titled the House of Order is now available.
